7-pin tester for caravan socket with 13-pin adaptors included
Description
Tester for 13-pin plugs and 13-pin sockets. Works with 9V battery (not included)
Socket testing
Plug the tester into the vehicle's power socket. If the vehicle is equipped with a 13-pin socket, a 13 to 7-pin adapter (included) must be connected between them.
Switch on the ignition and test all functions with a second person. When the correct pin/contact is assigned, the corresponding indicator will light up (when testing the direction indicator, the light will also flash).
Testing the steerer
Insert a 9V battery (not included) into the battery compartment of the tester in the correct direction. Connect the tester to the trailer plug . In the case of a 13-pin connector, a 13-pin to 7-pin adapter (included) must be placed between the vehicle and the plug.
Press the test button on the side. If the trailer is equipped with all functions (signalling, reversing light, brake light and rear fog light), the corresponding lights should illuminate when the test button is pressed. Please note that not all trailers/trailers are equipped with a fog light and/or a mars marshalling light. In this case the corresponding indicators will not illuminate. Only use this function when testing a stecher!
