Insulating tape Armaflex ACE-TAPE/50 - 50 mm

Armaflex ACE-TAPE/50 is a self-adhesive elastomeric foam insulating tape for insulating and sealing pipes and joints in caravans and motorhomes. It prevents the formation of condensation, reduces heat loss and protects against damp.

Flexible and easy to apply, it is ideal for water, heating and air conditioning installations, even in hard-to-access spaces.

Technical specifications (Armaflex ACE - material from which the tape is made)

• Material: closed cell elastomeric foam - professional grade flexible insulation.

• Working temperature range: approx. -50 °C up to +110 °C (up to +85 °C for self-adhesive tapes when applied over the entire surface).

• Thermal conductivity: λd ≤ 0.036 W/(m-K ) at 0 °C for 3 mm tape according to EN ISO 13787, EN 12667 and EN ISO 8497 - low, effective for thermal insulation.

• Water vapour diffusion resistance: μ-factor ≥ 7,000 (an effective barrier against condensation).

• Reaction to fire: B-s3,d0 for tapes (self-extinguishing, does not drip and does not propagate flame).

• UV resistance: requires protection against ultraviolet radiation in outdoor applications (e.g. additional coating).

• Storage: in dry, clean rooms, 0-35 °C, normal relative humidity (50-70 %).

• Recommended shelf life of the self-adhesive tape: ~1 year until installation.
