Description

The floor-mounted air conditioner is compatible with both caravans and motorhomes up to 8 m in length. It is mounted in the vehicle garage or in any other available place at floor level (under the bed, in the wardrobe, etc.) and then through the tubing (to be purchased separately) attached to the 3 holes, the cold/heated air is distributed to the desired areas. Mounting the central unit at floor level has the advantage of NOT altering the centre of gravity of the vehicle, which is particularly important for caravans.

The Dometic FreshWell FWX4 weighs 21 kg, is extremely compact and quiet and generates both cold air(2000 W / 6824 BTU/h) and warm air(2500 W / 8530 BTU/h ). The air flow is evenly distributed through the three air outlets. With the help of tubing and other accessories, the vents can be positioned in different ways in the vehicle - concentrated in one place or in different rooms. The 3 fan stages and 3 separate air outlets ensure even air distribution.

Soft Start function: The Soft Start function ensures that the air conditioning is switched on even in campsites with unstable power supply. It gives the motor an extra boost in the critical starting phase, so that the air conditioner runs before the fuse blows. An additional advantage is that voltage drops caused by long cables (cable drums) are generally tolerated.

Additional purchase is required for installation:

• tubing for air distribution to the desired areas
• elbow if necessary
• exhaust grilles to be fitted at the end of the tubing
• air inlet grille which provides air supply to the appliance from outside.

The Dometic FreshWell FWX4 operates at 230V and has a power consumption of 4.3 A. In order to be able to operate while running, it is necessary to connect an inverter with a minimum rated power of 1500W. If the auxiliary battery is used as a power source, the power consumption of 1056Wh, i.e. approx. 88 Ah at 12V, must be taken into account.
