Unlike the 4-person Palmdale 400, the Palmdale 500 has 2 entrances: a centre entrance and a side entrance, and is equipped with large windows with blinds and pockets in the inner tent and living area. The tent has an outside awning to protect the living area from light and rain.

With the zip partition the inner tent can be divided into two sleeping areas.
