Sikaflex 522 UV resistant adhesive sealant

Description

Sikaflex 522 UV is a sealant adhesive with adhesive properties that hardens on exposure to atmospheric moisture to form a stable elastomer. It has been specially developed for the field of rolling and is resistant to UV, temperature differences, ageing etc.

Sikaflex 522 is the counterpart of Sikaflex 221. The main difference is that 522 has been specially developed for caravans and motorhomes and has additional resistance to UV degradation. It has been designed to bond to metal primers, paint, vehicle components and plastic. 522 cures quickly and can be used for interior and exterior work, while 221 is more suitable for interior and simple bonding applications.

It can be used on a wide range of surfaces without using primer and remains permanently elastic. Can be used indoors and outdoors. Can be used for a wide range of repairs to caravans or motorhomes where an easy to apply sealant adhesive is required. Optimum application temperature is 5 to 40 °C. In about 30 min the hardening process starts.

In the field of rolling, it is recommended for bonding and sealing:

• exterior joints (between roof and wall)
• interior furniture joints (including kitchen and bathroom)
• between window frames and vehicle walls
• for attaching service doors
